While at it, he locks horns with Shivani Shivaji Roy (Rani Mukerji), the newly appointed chief of the city police. Sunny’s fascinated by her persona. That’s when we come to know that he has a thing for strong, independent women. Shivani persists and manages to get a witness who can identify Sunny. But he manages to eliminate the witness, that too from right under Shivani's nose. This creates unrest in the city and leads to the transfer of Shivani from her position. But before her transfer could come into force, with her small team, she decides to take on Sunny and nab him within 48 hours. Bit by bit, Shivani tracks Sunny’s hideout. In one particularly nerve-wracking pursuit, Shivani chases him down but he jumps into the Chambal river. An injured Shivani tries to catch him, but he escapes. From here begins a thrilling cat and mouse hunt between them. Sunny is all set with an escape plan out of the city as well. His plan includes abducting a female social worker who’s about to stand for the next election and using her to negotiate his way out. Meanwhile, Shivani is hounded by the media, led by the well-known reporter Amit Sharma about her role in instigating the serial killer to go a killing spree in city. On one hand the partial media and on the other hand... only a few hours left to hunt a serial killer who’s out to target more women. Mardaani 2 public review. I m to much happy to seing u in a role. Mardaani 2011. The movie starts with a murder and rape of a 23 year old. The gore details of it are maintained very well. The story starts off super nice with a mystery for SP Shivani Roy to solve. She, with her expertise starts building a case and of course the story also takes into account the image of women not only in the current society but also the perception many of the officers in the police force also have (Shekhawat. The villain, an exhibitionist makes sure he draws SP's attention and keeps at her toes.
Having said this, the story started off really well. But got hijacked by emotional content. Emotional content to the extent that it was a morally correcting film than a factual one. Added to that, the background score was more of a "long live Indian police theme" than of a good murder mystery thriller movie.
Rani Mukerji as usual, a good actor, delivered her best. The negative character was brilliant. Story could have been structured better. The moral part could have come later in the film with a good police-villian chase (with which it initially started but got hijacked by moral policing.
Sadly the new generation has no idea of teachers sacrifices and the value and respect for teachers. How will and what will they do in life without teachers? Online courses can never replace a Guru.
